Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The manuscript adheres to the following structure:

    Abstract: A concise summary of the study (150–250 words).

    Introduction: Background, rationale, and objectives of the study.

    Methodology: Research design, data sources, data collection, and analysis methods.

    Results and Discussion: Presentation of findings with interpretation and contextualization.

    Conclusion and Recommendations: Summary of key findings, implications, and practical or policy recommendations.
  • The manuscript follows APA (7th edition) citation and reference style.
    In-text citations and reference lists are correctly formatted according to APA guidelines.
  • The manuscript is written in clear, concise English and is free from spelling or grammatical errors.

  • Title Page: Title, author names, affiliations, emails, ORCID iDs

  • Abstract: 150–250 words with 4–6 keywords

  • Introduction: Background, rationale, and research questions

  • Methodology: Research design, data sources, and analysis methods

  • Results and Discussion: Findings and interpretation, including figures and tables

  • Conclusion and Recommendations: Key findings, implications, and future research

  • References: APA 7th edition format

  • Acknowledgments (optional): Funding sources or contributions

3. Formatting

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

  • Line spacing: Single-spaced

  • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) all sides

  • Headings: APA 7th edition style

  • Figures & Tables: Inserted in text with titles and sources

  • Page numbers: Bottom center

4. Citation & Reference Style (APA 7th Edition)

In-text citations:

  • One author: (Smith, 2022)

  • Two authors: (Smith & Lee, 2021)

5. Ethical Guidelines

  • Manuscripts must comply with COPE standards.

  • Submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.

  • Disclose conflicts of interest and funding sources.

  • Research involving humans or animals must include ethical approval details.

6. Submission Checklist (Authors must confirm all before submitting)

  • The submission has not been previously published and is not under review elsewhere.
  • The manuscript file is in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, or RTF format.
  • Abstract is included (150–250 words) with keywords.
  •  The manuscript includes Introduction, Methodology, Results & Discussion, Conclusion & Recommendations.
  •  The manuscript is single-spaced, Times New Roman 12 pt, with 1-inch margins.
  • Figures and tables are included in the text, properly labeled, and referenced.
  • The manuscript adheres to APA 7th edition citation and reference style.
  • URLs or DOIs are provided for all online references.
  •  All ethical standards, including human/animal subject approval and conflict of interest disclosure, are met.
  • The manuscript follows all stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in these guidelines.

7. Submission Process

  1. Submit your manuscript via the JGOSPC Online Submission System (OJS).

  2. Complete the Submission Checklist above.

  3. Corresponding authors will receive confirmation of submission and subsequent peer review updates.

8. Peer Review

  • Double-blind peer review for all manuscripts.

  • Authors may suggest reviewers, but final selection is at the editorial team’s discretion.

  • Decisions include accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.

9. Post-Acceptance

  • Authors may be asked to revise formatting or references before final publication.

  • Accepted manuscripts are assigned a DOI and published online.

By submitting a manuscript to the Journal of Global Order, Security, and Policy Cultures (JGOSPC), the author(s) agree to the following copyright terms:

1. Copyright Ownership

  • Authors retain copyright to their work.

  • Upon acceptance, authors grant JGOSPC a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide license to publish, reproduce, distribute, and display the work in all formats, including print and online.

2. Open Access License

  • All published articles will be made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), unless otherwise stated.

  • This license allows others to copy, distribute, display, and perform the work, and to make derivative works, provided proper credit is given to the original author(s).

3. Author Responsibilities

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:

  1. The work is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration elsewhere.

  2. All co-authors have agreed to the submission and its content.

  3. Any third-party material (figures, tables, or excerpts) is used with proper permission and acknowledgment.

  4. The manuscript complies with ethical standards and relevant institutional or national research guidelines.

4. Transfer of Rights

  • Authors grant JGOSPC the right to:

    • Edit the work for clarity, formatting, and style while preserving meaning

    • Deposit the article in repositories or indexing services (e.g., DOAJ, Crossref)

    • Promote the work in conferences, websites, and other scholarly media

  • Authors retain all other rights, including the right to:

    • Share or reuse the work in lectures, future publications, or derivative projects

    • Deposit the manuscript in personal, institutional, or disciplinary repositories

5. Agreement Requirement

  • Submission of a manuscript constitutes agreement to the above terms.

  • Authors must acknowledge the copyright notice as part of the submission process in OJS by ticking a confirmation box.

Journal of Global Order, Security, and Policy Cultures (JGOSPC) is committed to protecting the privacy of all users, authors, reviewers, editorial board members, and visitors to our website. All personal data collected is strictly for journal-related purposes, including manuscript management, peer review, editorial communications, and notifications about journal news, updates, and calls for papers.

JGOSPC uses personal data to:

  • Manage the peer review and publication process.

  • Communicate with authors, reviewers, and editorial board members regarding submissions, revisions, and editorial decisions.

  • Maintain records of editorial decisions and review history in line with COPE guidelines.

  • Provide updates about the journal, including calls for papers, announcements, and special issues.

  • Analyze website usage to improve user experience and ensure the journal functions efficiently.

  • Comply with legal obligations and ethical standards in scholarly publishing.

Personal data will not be sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
