Terms and Conditions – JBSIMS

1. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a manuscript or using the services of the Journal of Business Systems Innovation and Management Science (JBSIMS), authors, reviewers, and readers agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. JBSIMS reserves the right to update or revise these terms at any time, and continued use of the journal constitutes acceptance of any such changes.


2. Scope of the Journal

JBSIMS publishes peer-reviewed, original research at the intersection of business systems, innovation, and management science. The journal accepts theoretical, empirical, and interdisciplinary studies that advance knowledge in areas including, but not limited to:

All submissions must fit within the journal’s scope. Manuscripts outside the stated scope may be rejected without review.


3. Open Access Policy

JBSIMS is a fully open-access journal, meaning that all content is freely available online immediately upon publication. Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full texts of the articles, in accordance with the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0).

Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal the right to publish. Proper attribution must always be given when reusing published material.


4. Manuscript Submission and Author Responsibilities

Authors must ensure that:

  • Manuscripts are original and unpublished elsewhere
  • All data and sources are accurately represented
  • Conflicts of interest are fully disclosed
  • All co-authors have approved the submission
  • Ethical approval (if applicable) has been obtained for research involving humans, animals, or sensitive data

Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in retraction, rejection, or reporting to the author’s institution.

  • Reviewers are expected to provide honest, unbiased, and constructive feedback
  • The Editorial Team makes the final decision on acceptance, revision, or rejection
  • Review timelines may vary, but authors are notified of decisions promptly

JBSIMS reserves the right to reject manuscripts without review if they do not meet quality standards or scope requirements.


6. Ethical Guidelines

JBSIMS adheres to high standards of academic integrity, including:

  • No plagiarism – all submissions are checked using plagiarism detection tools
  • No redundant publication – authors must not submit the same work to multiple journals simultaneously
  • Transparency in funding and conflicts of interest – all financial or personal relationships affecting research must be disclosed

Misconduct may result in manuscript rejection, retraction, or notification to relevant authorities.


7. Data and Copyright

  • Authors retain copyright under CC BY 4.0 license, allowing broad sharing and reuse with attribution
  • Authors are encouraged to share data and supplementary material openly, while protecting sensitive or confidential information
  • JBSIMS may host supplementary files such as datasets, software, and multimedia for reference

8. Reader Responsibilities
