Terms and Conditions

1. Terms and Conditions

1.1 Submission Declaration

By submitting a manuscript to the Journal of Computer Science, Technology and Innovation (JCSTI), authors confirm that the work is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors must disclose any prior publication of preliminary results, such as conference abstracts or preprints, at the time of submission. The journal follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and expects all authors to adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity.

1.2 Authorship Criteria

Only individuals who have made significant intellectual contributions to the research are eligible for authorship. All authors must have participated sufficiently in the conception, design, data collection, analysis, and drafting or revision of the manuscript. Each author must approve the final version and agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work. The corresponding author assumes responsibility for communication with the journal and manages all administrative matters. Any changes to authorship—including additions, removals, or reordering—must be approved by all authors and communicated to the editorial office before acceptance.

1.3 Scope and Subject Matter

JCSTI publishes original research, review articles, short communications, and industrial case studies spanning the full spectrum of computer science and technology innovation. The journal welcomes submissions on artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, computer networks, cybersecurity, software engineering, cloud computing, blockchain technology, human-computer interaction, computer vision, and emerging interdisciplinary applications. Manuscripts must demonstrate clear scientific contribution, methodological rigor, and relevance to contemporary technological challenges.

1.4 Formatting Requirements

All manuscripts must adhere to the journal's template and formatting guidelines. The text should be written in clear English, double-spaced, with consistent citation formatting as specified in the author instructions. Figures, tables, and supplementary materials must be submitted in acceptable file formats. Submissions that do not conform to formatting requirements may be returned to authors without review. The journal recommends use of professional language editing services for non-native English speakers, though this remains the author's discretion.

1.5 Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that could potentially bias the research or its interpretation. This includes funding sources, employment affiliations, advisory roles, stock ownership, or family relationships with individuals who may be affected by the publication. All conflicts of interest must be declared in the manuscript's disclosure section. Failure to disclose material conflicts may result in rejection or retraction of published work.

1.6 Data Availability and Reproducibility

JCSTI encourages authors to make all data, code, and materials supporting the findings available in public repositories. Authors must provide a Data Availability Statement indicating where the data can be accessed or explaining why access is restricted. The journal promotes open science and expects authors to facilitate reproducibility of their results.

1.7 Copyright and Licensing

Upon acceptance, authors grant JCSTI the right of first publication. Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution License, allowing readers to freely access, share, and adapt the work with proper attribution. For subscription-based publication options, standard copyright transfer applies, and authors retain the right to self-archive pre-print and post-print versions in institutional repositories.

1.8 Corrections and Retractions

When errors are identified in a published article, authors are obliged to notify the editorial office promptly. Corrections will be published as errata or corrigenda. In cases of serious misconduct, plagiarism, or data fabrication, the journal will follow COPE guidelines for retraction. Retracted articles will be clearly marked and remain accessible with a retraction notice.

1.9 Withdrawal Policy

Authors may withdraw a manuscript before acceptance by notifying the editorial office. If a paper is withdrawn after acceptance but before publication, a withdrawal fee may apply to cover administrative and editorial costs. Unauthorized withdrawal or simultaneous submission to multiple journals is strictly prohibited and will result in notification of authors' institutions.

1.10 Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

All submissions and editorial processes are governed by the policies of JCSTI and applicable international copyright laws. Disputes arising from the publication process will be resolved through the journal's editorial board and, if necessary, referred to the publisher for final decision.
