Article Processing Charge (APC) / Author Fee

The International Journal of Health Systems and Integrated Health Sciences (IJHSIHS) is an open access journal. To support the costs of editorial management, peer review, online hosting, and long-term digital preservation, the journal applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts.

1. Fee Amount

  • The APC for each accepted article is USD 100.

  • This fee must be paid after acceptance and before the article is published.

2. What the APC Covers

Payment of the APC ensures that the article will be:

  • Published online under open access immediately upon finalization

  • Distributed freely to all readers without subscription or paywall barriers

  • Indexed in scholarly databases and repositories

  • Preserved permanently in digital archives

The APC does not influence editorial or peer review decisions; acceptance is based solely on the scientific and scholarly merit of the manuscript.

3. Waivers and Discounts

IJHSIHS offers full or partial fee waivers for authors from:

  • Low-income or lower-middle-income countries (as defined by the World Bank)

  • Cases of financial hardship

Requests for waivers must be submitted at the time of acceptance.

4. Payment Terms

  • The APC is payable in USD only via secure payment methods.

  • The article will not be published until payment is received.

  • Refunds are not provided for manuscripts withdrawn after acceptance.

5. Transparency

In compliance with Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) rules, IJHSIHS:

  • Clearly discloses the APC on its website

  • Explains what the fee covers

  • Ensures APCs are separate from editorial decision-making
